Kaya Varuthathu (Plantain chips)
Ingredients:Unripe Plantains : 1 kg
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
Salt : 2 tsp
Oil : 2 1/2 cups
Preparation:
- Peel plantains and cut into thin round slices.
- Heat oil in a kadhai and sprinkle in turmeric and salt.
- Fry chips in batches till golden and crisp.
- Remove from oil, drain, cool and store in an airtight container.
