Ingredients
Jackfruit – one half of the fruit.Jaggery (urundai vellam, gur) – 500 gms
Ghee(nei) – 100 gms
time required – 2 to 3 hours
Preparation
The jackfruit seeds and waste have to be removed and only the sweet portion of the fruit to be added. Collect all the fruit and cook it with some water in a pressure cooker. Then put the cooked jackfruit into a kadai in a slow flame. As the mixture starts to boil add the jaggery which has been melted with water with the mixture. Then slowly keep turning the mixture with a strong spoon(as it will get tough to turn in the end). All the while keep it in low flame as the mixture should not get charred. Then finally when the mixture has lost all of its water content it will become very soft and sticky then add ghee to the mixture and store it in a bowl.
